Recycling Rate for Plastic Bottles Reaches Nearly 2.6 Billion Pounds in 2010
Plastic bottle recycling by consumers increased 123 million pounds in 2010 (up 5%) to reach a record high of nearly 2.6 billion pounds for the year, according to figures released jointly today by the Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers (APR) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
